Manatauck Music is a newly founded record label based in Chicago, Illinois, featuring a wide variety of artists from across the country. Our roster ranges from honky tonk to chamber music and we are very excited to introduce you to our artists!

Mo Stanton

Growing up in small town Stanton, MO, Mo Stanton––born Thaddeus Reeves––used to hang around the local tavern his uncle worked at listening to country music and blues on the jukebox. After some restless years in college, some time spent in Nashville and New Orleans, Stanton toured the South and Midwest briefly in several cover bands. When he was allegedly seriously injured in an altercation at a bar in Arkansas, Stanton decided to quit touring and focus on writing and recording. He currently resides in Evans County, Georgia.

Claxton Clay

Claxton Clay is a Georgia-based band with an eclectic sound that incorporates traditional Americana, jazz, classical, and country influences.Their music features poetic, thoughtful lyrics, and challenging themes, inspired by myth, folk tales, and the spiritual journeys of seekers, lost souls, and iconoclasts.

Bad Wiring

Bad Wiring is a virtual band, born at Mitran Mitran Studio in Chicago. They incorporate electronic input from other musicians from across the globe, and their "distance" recording methods are right in tune with pandemic conditions. The band came of age during the Iraq War, and has a decidedly political bent with a politically incorrect attitude.

The Remberton Consort

The Remberton Consort is an ever-shifting consortium of musicians, composers, arrangers and producers. The group was named for a legendary 13th Century monastic composer, Remberton the Elder, who was reputed to have contributed to the Carmina Burana song cycle. The Rembertons are inspired by musical influences spanning many centuries and continents, producing sounds with both ancient and contemporary flavors on assorted acoustic and electronic instruments.
